Polycart Service Guidelines

Because we will be using the automated side load truck system for your service, we are asking for your cooperation on the following items.

• Poly carts should be placed with the handle facing away from the street.  Please place within 2 feet from the curb.  Please do not place your cart in the street.
• Carts must be placed at the curb or on the turnout of your driveway before 6:30 am on your pick up day or the night before. 
• Carts should not be placed too close to mailboxes, fences, parked cars or other objects.
• Only your poly cart will be picked up on your regular trash pick up.   No other trash cans please.
• Items cannot be placed on top of the cart, as any items placed on top the cart may fall to the ground or allow animals to scatter your trash.
• Please do not overfill your cart so that the lid will close properly.  Bagging your trash before you put it in your cart will help prevent blowing trash when it is dumped.
• If you need an additional cart, they are available and may be ordered by contacting the City of Lindsay at 756-2019.
• If you need a medical waiver, they are available and may be completed by contacting the City of Lindsay at 756-2019.
• Observed holidays include New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  If your regular pickup day falls on one of these holidays, you will be serviced the following day.

The City of Lindsay Staff and Waste Connections will be available to answer any questions you have concerning your new trash service.
